The General Assembly and Annual General Meeting of the Myanmar Rice Federation was held on 25 March 2026 via a virtual meeting.
During the meeting, members reviewed the Federation’s activities carried out in 2025 and discussed and approved 15 priority action plans to be implemented in the near term. Key topics included ensuring the availability of fuel for paddy harvesting and rice mill operations, updates on domestic and international rice market conditions, facilitation of import permits for machinery required by rice mills, implementation of Rice Export Zones, and the collection of operational data from rice mills.
In addition, discussions covered the selection process for the vacant position of Secretary General, arrangements for short-term export financing, future work plans, and proposed amendments to the organizational structure of the Federation.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman, Vice Chairmen, Central Executive Committee members, Executive Committee members, and members of the Federation.
