The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), in collaboration with Shwe Wah Yaung Agriculture Production Co., Ltd. and Good Brothers’ Co., Ltd., successfully showcased Myanmar’s rice industry at the 10th China–South Asia Expo, held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, from 11 to 16 June 2026.
Through its exhibition booth, the Federation promoted Myanmar’s rice sector and explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Myanmar, China, and South Asian countries. Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in key areas including rice seed production, rice milling, agricultural mechanization services, grain drying and storage systems, the export of premium Myanmar rice varieties such as Paw San and other high-quality rice, fertilizer and organic fertilizer production, market development, and the adoption of modern agricultural technologies.
The exhibition also provided an important platform for exchanging views on long-term investment opportunities and sustainable partnerships in Myanmar’s rice industry. Productive discussions were held with business partners and stakeholders on promoting private-sector collaboration and fostering mutually beneficial investment in the agricultural value chain.
Following the official opening ceremony, the Myanmar Rice Federation exhibition booth was visited by H.E. U Min Min, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, and U Aye Win, President of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), together with other distinguished guests. They were welcomed by U Ye Min Aung, Chairman of the Myanmar Rice Federation, and booth representatives, who presented an overview of Myanmar’s rice industry and the Federation’s ongoing initiatives.
The Myanmar Rice Federation delegation to the Expo was led by Chairman U Ye Min Aung and included Joint Secretary U Nay Lin Zin together with 16 delegation members, reaffirming the Federation’s commitment to expanding international cooperation and promoting Myanmar’s rice industry in regional and global markets.
