The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) participated in the Myanmar–China Investment and Trade Networking Summit (MCITP-2026), held on 18 June 2026 at the Radisson Collection Lingang Shanghai Hotel in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. As part of the event, the Federation showcased Myanmar’s rice industry through its dedicated exhibition booth.
The Summit was officially inaugurated by H.E. President U Min Aung Hlaing, who also toured the exhibition area featuring displays from organizations and businesses representing both Myanmar and China. During the visit to the Myanmar Rice Federation booth, MRF Chairman U Ye Min Aung, together with booth representatives, presented an overview of Myanmar’s rice sector, the Federation’s ongoing initiatives, and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
The Myanmar Rice Federation delegation was led by the Chairman and included Vice Chairmen, Joint General Secretaries, and a total of 18 representatives. Throughout the Summit, MRF representatives actively participated in business networking sessions and discussions aimed at strengthening investment and trade cooperation between Myanmar and China.
A key achievement of the Summit was the successful signing of 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between five MRF member companies and 11 Chinese companies and organizations across various sectors. These agreements are expected to promote stronger business partnerships, expand trade and investment opportunities, and further enhance long-term cooperation between the Myanmar and Chinese private sectors.
The Myanmar Rice Federation remains committed to fostering international collaboration, attracting investment, and promoting the sustainable growth and global competitiveness of Myanmar’s rice industry.
