The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) successfully organized a Technical Seminar on Energy Solutions for Rice Mills and Rice-Based Processing Industries on 25 July 2026 at the UMFCCI Mingalar Hall in Yangon.
The seminar was officially opened by MRF Chairman U Ye Min Aung, who delivered the welcome address and highlighted the objectives of the event. He emphasized the importance of improving energy efficiency and promoting sustainable energy solutions to enhance the competitiveness of Myanmar’s rice milling and rice-based processing industries.

The technical session was moderated by U Kyaw Oo, Founder and Engineer of AETHAR Solar Engineering, and featured a panel discussion with industry experts, including U Nay Myo Win, Business Consultant of Shwe Wah Nadi Agricultural Production Co., Ltd., U Zin Myo Htet, Managing Director of Zillion Delta Innovation Co., Ltd., and U Khant Ye Htun, Managing Director of Golden Myanmar AGRO LAND Engineering & Trading Co., Ltd.

The panel shared practical knowledge and technical insights on energy management, electricity utilization, renewable energy applications, and innovative technologies that can improve operational efficiency and sustainability in rice mills and rice-based manufacturing facilities.
The seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants exchanged views with the panelists and received practical recommendations on energy-related challenges and technology adoption.


The event was attended by members of the MRF Central Executive Committee, Executive Committee members, Federation advisors, rice mill owners, representatives of MRF member companies, representatives from solar energy companies that have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the Federation, and trainees from the Second Batch of the Rice Milling Technology Training Program, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and the Myanmar Rice Federation.


The seminar reflects the Myanmar Rice Federation’s ongoing commitment to promoting technological advancement, energy efficiency, and sustainable industrial development in Myanmar’s rice sector through knowledge sharing and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
