On 5 June 2026, in commemoration of World Environment Day, Shwe Wah Nadi Agriculture Production Co., Ltd. was proudly awarded the National Level – Environmentally Decent Factory/Workplace Award by the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in recognition of its excellence in environmental management and sustainable industrial practices.
The Myanmar Rice Federation highly commends this remarkable accomplishment and records its sincere appreciation for the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible business operations.
As part of its Industrial Development Plan 2025–2035 for Myanmar’s private rice sector, the Myanmar Rice Federation has been actively promoting the development of sustainable rice mills and a sustainable rice value chain in line with national development policies. Within this framework, environmental protection and social responsibility have become essential pillars for the modernization and long-term competitiveness of Myanmar’s rice milling industry.
Shwe Wah Nadi Rice Mill is not only recognized as one of Myanmar’s internationally competitive export-oriented rice mills but also holds the distinction of being the first rice mill in Myanmar to receive a national-level environmental management award. This milestone represents a significant achievement for the entire rice milling industry and serves as an exemplary model for sustainable industrial development.
